INCEPTRIX Hackathon 2.0 is a national-level hackathon by JAIN University inviting UG & PG students to build intelligent, real-world solutions with mentorship, prizes, and industry exposure.

INCEPTRIX Hackathon 2.0 is a national-level innovation and technology hackathon organized by the Tech Council, School of Computer Science & Engineering (SCSE) under the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru.
The hackathon brings together innovators, coders, designers, and problem solvers from across India to create impactful, real-world technology solutions.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, INCEPTRIX 2.0 continues its legacy with a stronger focus on intelligent systems, industry relevance, and collaborative problem-solving.


Hackathon Theme

Beyond Intelligent Innovation – Systems That Shape Reality

The theme challenges participants to:

  • Go beyond basic prototypes

  • Build intelligent, scalable, and real-world systems

  • Solve problems with long-term societal and technological impact

  • Think innovatively across domains such as AI, data, systems design, and emerging technologies


Who Can Participate

INCEPTRIX Hackathon 2.0 is open to students across India.

Eligibility details:

  • Open to all UG & PG students

  • Teams of 4–5 members

  • At least one female participant is mandatory

  • Inter-college and interdisciplinary teams are allowed


Hackathon Format

The hackathon follows a hybrid format:

Online Idea Submission Round
Teams submit their idea and prototype details online. Submissions are evaluated by expert jury members based on innovation, feasibility, and impact.

Offline Final Round
Shortlisted teams present their solutions on campus at JAIN University, Bengaluru. Live demonstrations, presentations, and final judging take place during this round.

  • Registration Opens: 27 December 2025

  • Idea Submission Window: 27 December 2025 – 15 January 2026

  • Evaluation Period: 16 January 2026 – 20 January 2026

  • Finalist Announcement: 21 January 2026

  • Final Round Registration: 22 January 2026 – 31 January 2026

  • On-Ground Final Round: 27 & 28 February 2026

General Guidelines

  • Submit only original and innovative ideas

  • Plagiarism or unmodified AI-generated content will lead to disqualification

  • Clearly explain the problem statement, solution, tech stack, and feasibility

  • Be prepared to justify your idea during evaluation

  • Shortlisted teams advancing to the offline round must pay a ₹1000 registration fee

The Tech Council – SCSE is the central technical body that manages hackathons, workshops, competitions, and large-scale technical events, fostering a strong culture of innovation and leadership.
